by Diana Budds It goes without saying that David Lai, Principal and Creative Director of Hello Design, has had a lot of experience creating things. For over 15 years, he's worked with some of the most well-known brands and organizations—including MoMA, Herman Miller, and Sony—but one of his most recent challenges involved his green home designed by lee + mundwiler architects. The "L House," which boasts an array of sustainable landscaping, energy, and water features, will be in our upcoming July/August issue. Before that hits newsstands on July 28th, you can catch David at Dwell on Design on Saturday, June 25th, where he'll chat about designing and living in a modern home tailor-made for his family. In the interview that follows, David answers a few questions about design classics, his background, the best view in Los Angeles, and gives us a preview of what he'll be discussing on his panel.
