This isn’t so much a how-to post filled with instructions and supplies list; this is more of a plea. Please dress up your dresser if it’s not what you want or how you want it to look. If you’ve found the perfect vintage, Mid-Century Modern dresser or a fabulously contemporary chest of drawers, by all means keep it pristine (unless you don’t want to). But if you’ve got an old hand me down or a Craigslist find and it’s totally mucking up your aesthetic, by all means punch it up!

Here’s a tiny list of ways: new drawer pulls (like from Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters or any place that sells cute pulls), a solid glossy coat of bold paint, a painted geometric pattern, chalkboard paint — there are probably a million other ways!

How have you — or would you, if you had a furniture piece needing it — dress up your dresser? Share your ideas in the comments to inspire others!
