Elemental Living launched their debut collection, which included a very comfortable lounge chair.

Materials, Inc. had a cool metal mesh that felt almost as soft as fabric. They also had this cool resin tile with paper inside that looked 3D, but when you touched it, the surface was completely smooth.

The Maryland Institute College of Art Environmental Design and The University of Washington in Seattle Industrial Design students were challenged to create pieces using materials sourced within 100 miles.

RISD’s booth featured pieces by students made from Twintex, a glass and thermoplastic polypropylene fiber filament that can be recycled.

University of Oregon’s challenge was to create flat-packed furniture. On the left in the back, you might recognize the paint chip bookshelf I just talked about.

Pratt and Cappellini paired up to create some interestingly colorful furnishings that looks distinctly Italian.

This chair, developed by students from the University of Tokyo, is lined with lights that light up when you sit down.
