Danish product design company Lucie Kaas recently reissued a line of iconic bowls made famous by Norwegian factory Cathrineholm, makers of distinctive and popular Mid-Century enamelware. The most iconic of Cathrineholm designs was the stylized, blooming Lotus pattern created by Arne Clausen, a striking design which remains one of the most recognizable decorative motifs in Scandinavian product design. Lucie Kaas, working in collaboration with Arne Clausen’s family, has replicated the Lotus enamelware bowls in ceramic—and gauging by how seamlessly (and exquisitely) the pattern translates to ceramic, this is a collaboration that’s been well worth the wait.
