While perusing Weekend Carnival, we came across a post that featured the blog owner’s new flea market rug find, paired with some simple Scandinavian furniture and crisp white elements. The color palette is punchy and powerful, and the rug’s subtle pattern goes well with the complicated wicker pattern of the chair.

While shooting the home of Lindsay Nakashima (grand niece of George Nakashima) for an upcoming Apartment Therapy house tour, we noticed a fun texture combo there, too: an Oriental rug, mixing with wood floors, mixing with a faux fur throw, over a herringbone-patterned blanket with the blue felt of that bed.
