From May 29-31, Dwell on Design Turned the LA Convention Center into a Design Mecca. At the outset of last weekend's Dwell on Design show, hosted by Dwell magazine (one of the top authorities in modern design) in Los Angeles, an announcement was made that the design show had been sold with the goal of expanding the now bi-coastal show to reach an international audience. And with that the tone was set: Dwell on Design would now be THE place to discover innovative design trends. Big letters = Big design ideas. Starting with the life-sized letters welcoming attendees, the 2015 version of this show was ambitious. Global brands exhibited alongside designer-run upstarts, showcasing everything for the modern home, from lighting and furniture to paints, tiles and more.  Dwell Outdoor exhibited everything for the outdoors, plus a cool mix of alternative shelters and prefabs. The highlight of the show was Dwell Outdoor, a botanical oasis that measured 28,000 square feet (the show's biggest ever) showcasing everything for the outdoors, from garden water fountains to a bright, colorful and fun array of modern outdoor chairs .   The exhibition booth by Koncept reminded us why they're one of the leaders in LED lighting. And of course, we had to stop by the Koncept lighting booth which was an absolute favorite of ours with its modern designs and tastefully minimalist display of stylish LED lights . The first day eventually came to an end with an inspirational talk about designing with love by design icon Marcel Wanders . Meanwhile the joyous sounds of cocktail hour echoed from exhibition booths across the hall. Two more days and 32,428 participants later, another successful Dwell on Design event was in the history books.
