The Seattle based, husband and wife, architectural and furniture design team that make-up 16th workshop have this lovely chair known as the batto chair. Made completely of wood held together without the assistance of any screws or bolts in its construction the batto is a splendid little piece of modern design. With it’s slim legs, elegant back and tailored seat the batto is one good looking piece of seating that for me harkens back to the classics of mid-century master Hans Wegner. Check out more images of the batto chair and other pieces of 16th workshops craftsmanship at 16thworkshop.com.
