His 1910 São Paulo townhouse serves as a showcase for his own furniture and lighting, as well as his quirky collection of knickknacks (including a motley crew of plastic miniature pre-historic animals)—in addition to pieces by fellow wonder boys, like Piet Hein Eek and Tobias Juretzek. But mostly, his home is an homage to color—deep magenta, sunny yellow, electric orange, bright green—generously juxtaposed with expanses of gray Venetian stucco, itself applied in bold swaths of painterly splendor. No wonder we feel like flying south for the winter.
