This MCM house by David Levitt was built in 1964. Coppin Dockray carried out intensive and meticulous repair work to preserve and extend these elegant buildings. The house is unique in how it is situated on a slope. The inside almost feel exposed because of the lack of drywall. I like that you can actually see, feel and experience the architecture with all it’s structure visible. To meet it has a very Scandinavian feel, mostly because of the amount of visible wood. I like that they chose to paint some of the brick walls. I think if all of the walls were natural brick color it would get muddy fairly quick. The white painted brick also places emphasis and defines area in the interior spaces.
