So, if you're like me and you have more chairs than you know what to do with, you'll start to find other uses than just around a dining table. Modern dining chairs can hold up bedside lighting or flank a long console in the living room. Stack magazines on them, or put nothing at all and just let their style add to the aesthetic of your modern home. They even look great in unexpected places, such as the kitchen, below a unique art piece. There's no reason your modern kitchen can't have a little seating area, besides a breakfast nook. I especially love a pretty side chair near the bed as a nightstand. It's both stylish and an economical way to add surface area without buying a nightstand. Here's some fun chair ideas that would look good anywhere in your modern home: 1. The classic shape of the  black tripod wire chair provides a great back drop to highlight a stack of white book with an accent piece on top. 2. Classic wood accent chair is a little more rustic and looks like it has a story behind. Consider accenting it with rustic or industrial pieces. 3. White and wood side chair has a flat seat with is perfect for styling and the neutral color is the perfect background to an interesting collection. 4. The tufted shell chair looks comfy, I might just add a pillow and throw so I can utilize it for extra seating. 5. This oak accent chair features a woven seat. I would pick up on that detail and add objects with color and texture.
