Interiors: Gartner Residence
You know, modern often means having to pack a lot of personality into a small space while not using a lot of elements to avoid clutter. We just haven’t seen a better example in awhile like this Gartner Residence in Venice, California by Bruce Bolander Architect. Wow it’s so gorgeous! Using — Continue reading …
Live Modern: MYZ House
Oh we love tiny houses and we love houses made out of affordable materials. This MYZ House in Nagano, Japan designed by no.555 fits the modern bill, alright. We love that it seems to be a thin, narrow rectangular shape that goes from public to private spaces. Love the mix of — Continue reading …
DIY: Farm Table
You know what looks unexpectedly sexy in a modern home? A farmhouse table. It’s one of the easiest ways to infuse a little homespun personality and charm into a cold, sterile modern interior and it even holds its own pretty well when it comes to wear and tear, being perfect — Continue reading …

The man behind the hotel’s strong structure and bold design is one of Brazil’s most renowned architects, Isay Weinfeld. With this project, his goal was to create a hotel that looked and felt as wondrous and peaceful as the nature that envelops it.

The work of Kenichi Hoshine
I am completely spellbound by the work of Kenichi Hoshine. The imagery is so dark and twisted, but twisted in a fantastic way. I love that the subject matter is familiar but vague at the same time. These works would fit so nicely into a modern or mid century modern setting and only enhance the [...]
