I live in a 1909 condo building; store canned food in the basement on shelves. Is radon a concern? Is it for food cellars in general?

Live in Chicago; basement has concrete floor. Wooden storage locker with steel shelving units. Canned (home and store-bought) food as well as containers of other food items (cereals, crackers,etc.).
