Join local governments such as San Jose and LA City Councils, California news sources including the Sacramento Bee and the San Jose Mercury News, and California leaders  Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg and  Assembly Speaker John A. Perez in supporting Prop 39.

This proposition will close an unfair tax loophole that allows out-of-state businesses to pay lower taxes than those based in California. This unfair tax policy puts California-based businesses at a disadvantage. Closing this loophole would generate over $1 billion a year for California, directly injecting funds into green energy projects across the state and helping to reduce the state’s budget deficit.  These funds would bring jobs and investment back to California in the form of public projects that improve our schools and public service buildings, put tens of thousands of Californians back to work, and save taxpayer dollars in lower energy costs.

Eliminating this loophole will make California-based businesses more competitive, restore balance and fairness to the tax system, create new jobs and recover $1 billion a year in lost revenues.  Help protect our state’s economy by supporting tax fairness and investing in clean energy jobs.
