On a recent visit to Moore College of Art & Design, I came across a compelling display in the Graham Gallery – canvas shopping bags covered with nutritional messages, depicting pressing social and environmental concerns. The BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) exhibit, I discovered, represents the work of junior level graphic design students for an assignment called Design for Social Impact, in Professor Gigi McGee’s Idea and Image class.
