Lunera Lighting, a company that began in 2009 out of California recently announced the release of its fourth generation recessed LED Troffer light in its 22-G4 seriers.
“This SERIES 22-G4 exemplifies our vision for lighting, where advanced luminaires not only contribute to energy conservation, but also demonstrably enhance the quality of the environment for its inhabitants,” said Tom Quinn, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It is our mission to better the lives of our customers with cost-effective and energy efficient solutions.”
A troffer light is ‘a long recessed light fixture, especially on in the ceiling or for a fluorescent light (noun),’ according to YourDictionary.com. ‘An example of a troffer is a fluorescent light fixture recessed in the ceiling.’
Lunera’s new release is a 2 feet x 2 feet, recessed, lay-in grid or surface mountable fixture. It delivers up to 4000 lumens of 86 CRI light. Which means it’s very versatile and creates a bright, clear light to work with since it is able to achieve 100 lumens per watt.
These benefits allow specifiers to better meet California’s Title 24 Code requirements and saves on energy costs for consumers.
The new benefits are achieved by Lunera combining high efficacy and high quality LED’s that are precisely chosen for this collection.
They are backed by a 5-year warranty, good for new construction and as replacement to existing fixtures in renovated projects. They have a slim 2 inch high housing which allows them to be perfect for low ceiling and surface mount installations.
The design is flexible, as well, with a backlight design option and/or a lower 35W power option for even more energy and money conservation.
“With this generation of troffers, Lunera is bringing the brilliance of natural light to Class A offices, schools, hospitals, data centers, and retail stores.”
These light fixtures are just the next generation in LED sophistication in lighting updates and it just keeps getting more sustainable. Companies like Lunera are making sustainable choices easy and more available to consumers.
