Is laminate floating flooring a non-toxic water-resistant (or waterproof?) option for a basement playroom floor? If not, what is?

The basement in mind has flooded twice in the last decade, but we're pretty sure that this issue has been rectified. But since we're not 100%, we want to go with something that can resist a mild amount of water or easily be removed if significant water. We understand that the glues are often the toxic issue, so that is one of the reasons to go with a floating flooring.

As green architects we have been specifying Forbo Marmoleum floating floor systems for years.

These linoleum floors are fantastic, super 'green' and fairly water resistant.
