The laundry area is very small. My husband has to open the window next to the stack washer/dryer, reach in and pull out the drain hose and pour gel bleach in it to try and kill the mold. There are no leaks in the walls or floors. This only happens in the summer. I use the cleaning cycle 1-2 times a month during the summer. The unit is in the southwest area of the house. The house is 73 years old and only insulated in the ceiling.

Run an empty load with Borax & vinegar in it to help eliminate any standing issues. After this make sure after you run a load you leave the door open...
