I make it a point to be a picky, informed consumer who chooses the most durable, healthiest and greenest products available. But I also strongly believe that simply consuming less is often the best choice, a la "voluntary simplicity." Here's my question: we have a son and this holiday season will be his first. How do we guide our family members toward the 'less is more' mindset in so far as how it relates to the gift giving to ourselves and to our son?
