I'm of moderate education on plumping, after renovating two homes, and was wondering, has anyone tryed installing Micheal's system? I printed out the multiple diagrams, but has anyone actually done it. In theory, it looks like a good, promising system. Right now we have a 40 gallon hot water tank, the one before this the bottom blew out and flooded the house, and I'm extremely worried about the integrity of the new tank. Also, is it possible to make my own custom drain pan under my current tank? The area under the tank is 26" X 26".. thank you

I suggest that you look at what Gary Klein, the water conservation/heating guru has to say about that topic. www.Aim4sustainability.com
