We need to replace our oil-fired boiler. We have estimates for 4 oil-fired boilers but do not know which is best. Is a gas boiler better?

The boilers are Smith Cast-iron Boiler 8 Series 8-w-4 (with Carlin burner); Weil McLain Ultra Oil P-U-04 (with Reillo burner); Boyertown Solaia SL1400 (with Reillo burner); Buderus GB 125BE/35 (with Grundfos burner). Also, if we are thinking about converting at least some of our heating to radiant heat, does that make a difference in our heat system choice?
The Buderus is the best, in my opinion, but installing a condensing boiler means you have lower temps (138 F instead of 180 F). This will work great if your installer understands hydronic separation (Caleffi makes a great one) and outdoor reset. As with most things, it's more about the installation than the boiler.
Gas may be a little cheaper, but the cost of changing over could offset that completely. It really depends on your local prices.
