Is an outdoor specific LED bulb needed for a fixture that is protected from weather, but not from the cold?

I am interested in replacing the incandescent bulb in my outdoor fixture which is on the ceiling of the porch, under the eaves. It is dry, but not heated. I am wondering if the cold will effect the microprocessor. I have an LED flood lamp in my backyard, but it is outdoor specific.
