One of 14 cabins at Blue Moon Rising, an ecotourism retreat, in McHenry, Maryland. The retreat is for rent and was designed by Hobbitat and is a 250 SF vacation home.

A micro home on Florida’s St. George Island that is built to withstand hurricane-force winds. It is a 325 SF + loft and can sleep 2-4 people building.

These are all impressive, small and simple, new ways to live but I have to ask why are they all country dwellings? Wouldn’t it be easier to create urban spaces that are down-sized since the space that is allowed is already pint-sized?
