Are the new "space shuttle technology" ceramic coating paints as effective at preventing heat transfer as they claim?

We have a 30 year old house, in need of some updating, but need the attic space we would lose if we put in 16 inches of cellulose insulation. Moreover, we can't afford to replace the siding. If the claims are true, this new paint or additive to paint might really help increase the energy efficiency of our home.

Sorry I'm not a believer that a paint can outperform R-Valve (heat transfer). Please consider R-49 insulation or spray foam for your location.
