French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have created their latest chair, Osso, from wood that's fabricated with cutting-edge technology made energy-efficient. Made from a solar-powered CNC milling machine, they were able to use CNC technology to create curvilinear shapes that ship flat and fit together quite easily without the need for any additional hardware. I hope most people who purchased the chair purchased it locally. It'd be a shame to add more of a carbon footprint for shipping!
