I am about to embark on a gut rehab of my house so all the plumbing will be replaced and it's an opportunity to put in an efficient system. But I am so confused by all the conflicting advice out there. What is the most efficient way to heat water in a house? Is it hybrid, tankless or standard tank? Should you have a recirculating system?

Great question: For me it would be the ROI or the value beyond saving energy. I personally have the Geo Spring hybrid heat pump water heater on my green home...
