We've searched high and low to bring you our top picks for products that are not only safe and healthy for your loved ones and the planet, but are just as effective and enjoyable (often even more so!) than their conventional counterparts.

This guide is presented by method and people against dirty®.

This one’s for all the hot mamas (and pops!) out there that are obsessed with giving their little one the most loving, healthy, abundant childhood imaginable (read: don’t make me waste time sifting through the thousands of “eco” products on the market, i want to spend my time actually being with my babe). The ecofabulous baby and young child guide is broken down into four parts, starting with care and following with clothing, toys and gear. We’ve searched high and low to bring you our top picks for products that are not only safe and healthy for your loved ones and the planet, but are just as effective and enjoyable (often even more so!) than their conventional counterparts.

Weleda Baby Care:
A trip to Weleda’s Biodynamic® gardens in Germany to witness the harvesting of the calendula used in their baby care products only reaffirmed our love for this line. The hand-picked Biodynamic® calendula (containing incredible anti-inflammatory properties), organic chamomile and natural plant-based oils are all selected to create products for the most sensitive skin ($7-$17).
Zoe Organics’ Gentle Hair & Body Wash:
This castile soap is sans surfacants (the chemical agents that makes soap foam easily), but don’t think you’re giving up a nice lather! It is packaged in an air pump, so the soap comes out in a convenient froth – important when supporting baby’s head in one hand while trying to get her clean with the other. Organic rosemary, lavender and mandarin oils give the soap a heavenly smell ($14).
BabyBearShop Cheeky Baby Butter:
This organic tub-o-goodness is made with 100% plant-derived ingredients. The butter nourishes skin and works wonders to clear up baby eczema ($34). For mamas-to-be, check out the belly oil too!
Babo Botanicals Lavender Meadowsweet:
The sweetest scent, you’ll want to steal some for yourself! All products in the Babo Botanicals family are formulated using the company’s trademark Nutri-Soothe blend of chamomile, calendula, kudzu, and watercress, but it’s the lavender meadowsweet collection that had us hooked after first sniff ($16.50-$45).
Episencial Protective Face Balm:
Keep baby’s face sheltered from the outdoor elements (plus get an added boost of zinc derived SPF 6) with Episencial’s Face Balm. It works particular wonders on dry, chapped skin, while offering a delicious smell derived from only pure fruit juice and veggie extracts ($5.99).
Badger Baby Balm & Oil:
Longtime fans of Badger’s salve tins (great for travel or keeping on-hand in your purse without fear of spilling), Badger’s baby line is formulated for the most sensitive of skin. The oil is great for protecting a delicate epidermis and soothing symptoms of cradle cap ($16),  while the organic baby balm is great for calming dry skin patches on the go ($10).
Erbaviva Sniffles Organic Baby Chest Balm:
Give that cough the boot with this organic chest balm chock full of organic essential oils like eucalyptus, tea tree, myrrh, and cypress. The natural antiviral ingredients and healing properties will bring your little one back to health in no time ($14).
TruKid Sunscreen:
The TruKid line of children’s sunscreen, hair and skin products, and relief balms are super effective (sans titanium dioxide), go on without any white residue, and smell amazing – truly a revolution in healthy sunscreen for kids ($9.99-$17.95)!
Bumboosa Bamboo Baby Wipes:
No mom bag (or murse, for all our ecofabulous dads out there) is complete without eco baby wipes! These 100% biodegradable wipes are made of bamboo and lightly scented with natural lavender and sweet orange essential oils – both of which have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties ($4.99).
Smarty Pants Vitamins:
These delicious (kid tested & approved!) all-in-one gummy multi-vitamins contain sustainably sourced Omega 3 DHA, 100% of the U.S. recommended daily intake of Vitamin D, plus 11 other nutrients. On top of the eco-friendly omega sources, Smarty Pants doesn’t use high fructose corn syrup and instead opts for just 5g of organic cane sugar ($21.95).
Method Clementine Dish Pump:
After caring for young one’s sensitive skin, continue that healthy protection by washing bottles and dishes with this non-toxic, sweet smelling soap. Tough on dishes, easy on skin ($3.99)!

Preserve Jr. Kids Endangered Species Toothbrush:
As young ones grow a bit older, get them excited about oral hygiene from the start with these fun toothbrushes from Preserve. Like all Preserve products, they’re made from recycled materials (and can be mailed back for additional recycling!), but the junior brushes have fun facts and info about endangered animals on the packaging ($3.29).
Tom’s Orange Mango Toothpaste:
The only option that Zem’s kids like, this natural, healthy toothpaste adds a little flavor and fun to the chore ($6). Also check out Dr. Sharp’s strawberry cream flavor for picky kids ($12).
