BUILDER Reveals New Concept Home

Builder magazine recently announced plans for the 2011 Concept Home, officially called the KB Home GreenHouse: An Idea Home Created with Martha Stewart. The home has been designed for net-zero energy use, resource efficiency, and LEED Platinum certification. Builder magazine recently announced plans for the 2011 Concept Home, officially called the KB Home GreenHouse: An Idea Home Created with Martha Stewart.  The home has been designed for net-zero energy use, resource efficiency, and LEED Platinum certification. 

The Concept Home will open In January 2011 in conjunction with the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida.  Like last year, this year's home will be viewable virtually. 

KB Home is building the eco-friendly home, which is expected to price in the mid-$200,000s. 

The single-family home will have 2,667 square feet and Energy Star products, WaterSense products, rooftop solar thermal, and a 9 kW solar photovoltaic array, among other green products.
