I am just putting down an oak floor. What's the least toxic way to protect it? Will just wax or oil work? Thanks much - Liza

I am chemically sensitive and am fine with just an oil or wax finish - new oak floor will not get much use.

Linseed Oil or beeswax are probably not bad options. You will have to recoat every 2 years or so with this type of finish. You can also consider Vermont Natural...
