Buggiest CMS I've ever seen

Posted by Mike Dawson at June 28. 2006

I've been trying to live on this site for a few days now--joined, started on a blog, attempted to upload a user pic, the normal stuff.

Everything is a constant pain. Bad Server Response Could Not Load Time Out

The standard of service from the software running this board is really really terrible.

There are plenty of robust solutions out there.

I can see from the other topics listed here that these problems are not new. What is the problem with getting them fixed?

I'm sorry to say that my real question is Where else can we go on the web for this kind of interaction between modernists trying to build? Because as it seems to me right now that we'd be better served by all joining something like a livejournal community. And I'm no fan of LJ!

The following is only for the site admins:
When trying to upload my user pic from Safari:

We're fixing the website this summer. See this page for a history. In fact, the forum software will go into beta soon, probably next week, and as soon as it is ready for production sites we'll start the process of converting all of the content (600,000 objects are in the database, so this will take some doing).
