Why isn't there a blurb about pledging on the front page of the forums???

I usually check the forums several times a week and didn't know about the need for funds until I was browsing some of the blogs.

Actually, I tried to do that, but it was not that easy to do. once I found the correct page template, I needed to add the announcment in a format that the page template would render. It proved to be beyond my meager Python programming skills. So I just relied on email to appeal to members.

It's working. We're at $740 toward our $1,000 goal, and I expect we'll reach the goal this weekend. Hopefully you have already made your pledge (I actually do not know who contributes until the pledge drive is over).

Wouldn't it be great if you could just actually stick a button on there? What good is glue and post it notes if you can use them?

I have pledged btw, and I kept thinking where's my button? then went back to read that you only get your button after the real donation goes through.

I hope we reach the goal. I'd be lost without the forums!

You may have been one of the seven generous souls that pledged tonite, bringing our goal that much closer. In fact, by morning we should be past our goal. In any event, our pledge drive will be over in two days, and we'll start working on the solution. Thanks for your pledge, and patience.
