Images in Forums

Posted by Marshall Mayer at May 30. 2007

Hi there,

We've upgraded all of the forums to make it easier for you to add images to your comments.

Kupu (our default WYSIWYG editor) allows you to add images to your comments, but it's cumbersome. We've made it easier.

Now all you have to do is find an image on your hard drive (or LAN) and upload it directly as you add a comment to a conversation.

We've limited you to three images, and a total of 1 megabyte for those images. (You can add attachments other than images, but they won't preview in the comment as images do.) That's to keep site performance as good as possible for everyone (forum admins: please do not change these settings). If you need to add more images to a comment, simply start a new comment.

We'll try this out for a while, and tweak as necessary. Let me know if it works -- or does not work! -- for you.

Marshall
