Do you think that if you used an oil stain and use several coats, say twice or tree times the amount of stain you typically use, do you think it would work? I know this is not the same thing but when I was staining my pine chairs with black stain from IKEA, it took about 9 coats to get the look I wanted. I thought that it would never turn out but finally they did. What do you think?:zz:

We used Family Floors out here in Severna Park/ Annapolis. They were truly horrible in their expertise and customer service. We had the floors re-done only two years ago and already they need it again. Also, when they tried to do the ebony stain and it looked bad, they tried to charge us to undo the mess they made- I loved my wife's analogy- if she went to get her hair colored and wanted it red but it came out orange, would she have to pay to get it colored correctly? They were really unbelievable- they just did not have the expertise.
