For a story I'm writing about how design sensibility affects people's choice of a soul mate, I'd love to hear from anyone in this online community (or your friends, or your acquaintances) who has either
(a) found true love as a function of a shared interest in design/architecture, or
(b) had to abandon a relationship because you just didn't see eye-to-eye with the other person w/r/t furniture, decorative style, etc.
Is there anyone out there who has broken up with someone over a Herman Miller-related disconnect? Alternately, are there any couples out there who have permanently bonded over Bertoia?
Please e-mail me, Jeff Turrentine, at turrentinej@washpost.com, or call me at either or both of the phone numbers listed below. (Or just add a post to this one and I'll contact you.) Age, race, sexual orientation are totally unimportant. Location isn't a dealbreaker, but if you happen to live in the Washington DC area, that's obviously a big plus.
And if this doesn't apply to you, but to someone you happen to know, please feel free to send them this posting and my e-mail and phone numbers -- or, if you think it would be okay for me to contact them directly, just pass along their e-mail address.
Thanks!
