Vicki and I are still trying to put the pieces of our dream together; a mod pre-fab in santa fe, NM and 1 in Nelson county virginia (we have a place already at Wintergreen: www.spiralvista.com) so when we retire in 3 years we can be (bi-coastal) sort of in style! we're looking at LV for virginia or maybe the 60/40 house, as they're in or close to being in production; have a local builder lined up, just need to find a little land with a killer view of the blue ridge. as far as santa fe, have a couple of lots in mind, but not yet decided on dwell or glide as the house. have a modern architect lined up there who has his own pretty cool stuff (high desert modern)and may be willing to do the general work on either the glide or the dwell. any advice you two can offer or suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. and if this is not the forum for which to do that, let me know and i can shift to another venue to communicate.:cool:

You have two great locations lined up there. At this point my best advice would be to keep the houses you are considering in mind when you look at land. Think about where the view is, and how you approach the lot relative to the view, and see how the house plans jive with the sites regarding entry and view orientation.
