W St. Residence

Has anyone checked out the W Street Residence. It's a modern SFH done by Division 1 Architects in the U street corridor area. A friend of mine over at Sotheby's tells me it's going for 1.8 million. A nice house but a little pricey. Anyone know anything more about the project or the developers? According to their website, they have a couple other projects in the area.

I'm quite impressed by the home, but 1.8mil? Ridiculous. Then again, I haven't been inside. I'm more interested in some of the other homes/'lofts'/condos that are sprouting up all around. In some ways though, this modernist trend in residential hi-rises is becoming a bit repetitive.

Spoke with the co-owner of UrbanLand to try and get more renewable energy projects connected to all these forward-looking buildings. It makes perfect sense on, say the Floridian project near Howard University. Of course it's too late on that effort but maybe something else.

How is your 4-unit going?

As someone who's worked for one of the largest Solar manufacturer (BP SOLAR) in the world, yea, it would be nice to see renewable design in these projects.

I stopped by the w street house today---looks like its down to interior finishing work...
