I took a look at the presentation centre. Pricey, especially for the area. It's about $650/sqft for 1 bedrooms. 2 bdrm + dens start at $850,000. Keep in mind that this is at Main and Broadway.
Sorry to be so glib, but, what did you expect? So far, it's been well documented that this whole affordable part of affordable modernism thing has been a big bust. Ironically, it seems to be especially so when the name DWELL is attached.
Here in Madison, Wisconsin we are trying to do just that...make modernism affordable.

The projects are on opposite sides of town and are more than 1600 sf, and include private garage...for under $200,000!
the plans/finishes remind me of the first Condo I purchased in Toronto. www.quadlofts.com
In 2001 I paid $230K for 806 sq. ft. They are now reselling for $300K+.

Now THAT is affordable. Now, if we can just see it happen in a home.
Lo and behold, there is another development in Vancouver riding on the dwell name. This one is a bit more blatant, even using the same font.
