any new modern builds?

Any modern residential builds going up (or recently up) in your neighborhood?

Driving right along Oak somewhere near King Ed. is a really interesting house that is in construction... corrugated metal siding, interesting roofline.

Then there is one happening in East Van right next to two others from the same architect... www.dlpdesigns.com (go to residentials) really interesting designs... especially stark contrast to the surrounding 'vancouver specials'

I'm actually more curious to know if there are any modern builds within the newer neighborhoods  of the outlying regions of GVRD... like in richmond, burnaby, surrey or delta - highly unlikely.... but has it ever been done?  and... why not!?
