modern landscape

Does anyone know a good landscape architect/landscaping firm in the Seattle Area that won't turn my yard into an English cottage garden? I would also appreciate advice on good books regarding modern landcape design.

Check out Dietz Hartlage in Tacoma.  I tried the website but it didn't work but if you Google the name, the contact info comes up (they're in Tacoma) and some links about their work.  Richard Hartlage wrote a book called Bold Visions and most of the photographs are his. 

Bettina. I am in the South Eastern part of WA and the words modern and landscaping are not found in the same sentence here. Here is some good inspiration though.
