Modern remodel in stages plan

Posted by Shane Hartley at May 01. 2007
So we just bought a 1977 home in Kirkland and I'd like to give it a modern facelift (inside and out). It needs some modern curb-appeal. Id also like to do some remodeling on the inside to make it work better for us. To make a long story short...We have very little money (practically none left) so I'd like to do the renovation in stages. Only problem is I'd hate to get going and have to redo something later because I dont have everything planned out.

So here's the deal, I was wondering if an architect or someone that can do this, design a remodel in such a way that we could do it in stages? Also how much would it cost me to have an architect just draw up the design/plans and then I could decide what to do first? I'm very new at this process so any help would be great!
