Looking for some help in PDX

Posted by Todd Miller at May 19. 2006

Hello:
I am starting up a business here in Portland to sell Ecosmart Fire Systems. They are innovative, modern ,environmentally friendly fire places that can be seen at www.ecosmartfire.com. They were advertised in Dwell Mag once last year and also included in a comparison with other modern fireplace systems in Dwell a couple months ago. Anyway - I am trying to start this business on the side, while maintaining my current full-time job. If it takes off, my long-term plan is to try to do this full-time in a stand alone store. Until then, I am looking for a modern location where I can place a system on display. This could be an art gallery, a restaurant, hotel lobby, condo lobby, spa. etc. I want this to be a win-win situation, in that the business owner would gain by having a nice fire system in their establishment and also gain potential customers from anyone I would direct or bring their to see the system. Obviously, I would gain by having a place to display the systems and direct people to. Once I have a location and a system placed, I plan to advertise locally as well as start contacting builders, architects, interior designers ,etc. I appreciate ideas or if any nice Portland Modernist has a business that might work.

Thanks!
