What if I have to relocate?

What good is it to invenst substantial time and money in disconnecting from the grid if my job gets outsourced to DirkaDirkastan and I have to move to an apartment?

Well, if you want to be truly off the grid, you have to be willing to sever those kinds of connections, too.

It's obviously not something that is to be undertaken lightly.
