Want to build some modern townhomes in the charlotte area

I am interested in building some modern townhomes in the Charlotte, NC or surrounding areas. Possibly on narrow but deep lots (not sure yet, will be looking closer at buying land soon). All of the cookie-cutter homes in that area don't excite me and I think there's definitely a lot of others that feel the same but dont know exactly what they are looking for and would LOVE an alternative to what options they have now.

I dont know of any builders in that area that build modern nor do I know of any architechts in the area with a serious interest in designing modern, as theres not yet a demand for modern living there.

Anyone know of architechts with an affinity toward modern who can design affordable townhomes? And by affordable (I dont have an exact price) but I am thinking it should be within the price /square foot range of other homes in the area.

Also, any contractors with the experience or competence to build this way.
