After a 9 month process of researching and letter writing, my wife and I finally found a land owner that was willing to sell us a parcel in the area where we live. So I suppose that this places us into the ‘active’ process of planning a home!

As we go through the process, I expect to post my questions here and gather info from each of you. But we have few questions at this point.....we are just trying to put together a list of ‘wants’ to be incorporated into a design (wish me luck).

If you have any tips regarding the design process and anything thereafter, I am all ears!

Well, when I re-decorated my home 2 years ago, what I did was to make a list of things I knew I'll be needing and then add to this the small details that would help to creating a cosy interior.
