There's an ad from Met Home I think it was...Nov/Dec issue w/ my bamboo flooring on the wall. Looked awesome!
I'm back on this idea for my entrance hallway. I saw this at a restaurant in NYC called Jefferson Restaurant. Sadly, they are now closed. How do I implement this? Glue, furing strips? How do I finish/treat the edges and outside corners?
I have done a number of installations like that. I use flooring mastic and staples driven through the tongue of the flooring to hold it in place till the glue dries. You will have to do some layout as to locate all wall plates and electrical outlets. The ned corners can either be mitered or flat corner cut depending on the look you want to get. The last option would be to create a trim molding to cover the corner. Hope this helps... You can also look on my web page at the works in progress I have a few pics of wall treatments I made out of plywood for customers. www.magedmanmodern.com
yeah it a pretty common thing. i would be also interested in seeing details as of how to do corners and end pieces.
I've done bamboo using flooring mastic. Because it was a bathroom application, I drove nails through the areas where I later placed the sink and other innocuous locations. Bryan, nice walnut work, but you can't enlarge the pictures. Edges are tough unless you make perfect cuts but those steel L-shaped strips from Home Depot are fine.

I'd be interested in seeing how to corner these too. Not a bad idea. I need to build a new mantle and bamboo flooring would be great. Perhaps I can miter the corners?
Why is bamboo floor so cheap but plywood still so rare/expensive?
As for walls, we have some friends that used it for their geodesic dome:
This PDF has a couple of interior shots, though they're hard to make out:
