Solistone river rock mosaic tiles...

Posted by Mark H at July 30. 2006
Does anybody have any pictures or experience with these mosiac tiles with river rock / pebbles as the flooring surface? They also offer stainless steel mosaics in the shape of pebbles. Costco sells the natural river rock ones for about $10/sf, whereas the stainless ones go for $40/sf at my local Expo. I'm thinking about doing my shower with these tiles, and I'm just wondering if anyone has any opinions, good or bad.

Here is a pic...

and here's a link to the product at Costco...

Yes. We are just now enhancing and sealing our pebble mat shower. My husband laid all the tile. I helped with the grouting and now the sealing.

We got our mats from Natural Stone Outlet. They were $10 sq ft when we bought the first batch and $11 sq ft when we had to buy more ('cause we under estimated waste). We chose the black lava flat rock, which I don't see on the site any more. There is a picture of an accent wall that uses the same stone here.

My husband had never tiled and this wasn't exactly the easiest first project, but after he figured out some tricks it moved a lot faster. We just LOVE the look and can't wait to actually use it.

check out the standing pebble too.
