Hi,
We are getting ready to build a house. Of course we have a lot of decisions to make and I am hoping someone may be able to provide some input on the following?
Do brick and stucco cost the same, or is brick always more? Are there any good resources for affordable brick? Are there any good modern bricks that aren't the same old same old?
When it comes to using stucco, how can you creat angled walls? For example a wall that angles anywhere between 85 and 66 degrees? Is this even possible?
Thanks so much for your input.
Brick will typically have a higher up-front cost, but over the life of the home brick requires almost zero maintenance or repair, while, depending on your location and the original application stucco may need maintenance/repairs.
You can get bricks in many, many different modules, not to mention the CMU units and the different finishes/sizes available. Cost will depend on both the size and the finish that you choose.
You should be able to do stucco at any angle.
