Wow, that door is awesome! is that an interior or exterior door ? I can't tell from the photo but how thick is the door? is it solid or a veneer ?  I love the black against the greenish looking glass. You should also do sliding doors?

Here is a photo of a sliding door i built a year ago for my condo made from the metal from old cars.

This is actually an interior door 1 3/8 " 3'0  6'8"we have the same in Exterior. This is a solid core door with oak veneer. We are building them in various colours/woods/metals/glass combinations. We  also  do them in commercial grade with a fire rating if needed. Most any design/material is possible. I will post the others as the become available. Thank you for your feedback.

Laine,

This door looks pretty modern and neat, it will look great on a light color walls! If you are looking for contemporary door handles, and other kinds of door hardware, try http://www.dayorishardware.com , I purchased my door handles and modern door stops online.

Because I think that after the door, of course, a beautiful hardware will complete the job with success.

This door looks very sleek. I liked it. I think Laine's door handle choice #2 suits best if you're about to choose it.

I love the glass slit - very funky and yes very modern looking. I think you also did well with the laquered black finish. Actually kind of post-modern now that I look at it again. Congrats!

I really like the design of the wooden door you have made. It is a refreshing change from the traditional doors that we see. It is fascinating that a simple thing like a door can be manipulated to have so many designs with different materials like wood, glass and metal!
