flip down wall

Posted by Hendry at November 30. 2007

I am drawing up a plan to finish my basement and have a few remaining issues to sort out.  One portion of the basement is about 20'x40', with one half of this rectangle being wide open.  The other half has a pair of framed supports that split the area into about 6x20 and 14x20.

I am interested in finishing this as one large space, but would like to build in the ability to close off the 14x20 space as its own room.  I don’t feel that the room can accommodate rolling walls or accordion type walls.  I am interested to know if anyone has a suggestion/method for a ceiling mounted flip down wall.

What about a roll-up garage door?
