Modern mirror mount

Posted by ThreeDogKnight at May 01. 2007

I am looking for a more interesting way to attach a frameless bathroom mirror to the wall besides the little plastic clips that were used previously.  Does anyone have any ideas or sources for such hardware?

How about these made by Vola

I noticed that someone was selling a set on ebay the other day. I'm not sure if the auction is still on.

is recessing the mirror an option? Have done a recessed mirror with an aluminum angle edgeing as a transition between wall finish and mirror. Gives you a clean profile without any potrusion off the wall.

I like the Vola mounts, but boy are they expensive! Four tiny pieces of hardware for $132 - $204 (depending on finish)

Recessing is not really an option without cuttting out the framing behind the wall.  Building out will be difficult as well, since there is a row of wall tiles along the bottom between the mirror and vanity.

Thanks for the suggestions!

You could put it in an aluminum picture frame and then hang it from two screws in the wall. The frame would hide the screws. These frames come in a wide assortment of colors, either painted or metalic/anodised, or natural metal. They also come in a wide assortment of cross sections/profiles. Some are the more traditional duplicates of wood frames, but many are very minimal. Just google "picture frame"
