ha, good to know.  i was getting depressed about not using alum window system on my lake home.  I have a south facing sloped lot on a lake in MN.  Wanting to do passive solar with lots of glass on the south/lake side for sun and views.

What products are avail for insulating windows at night in the winter to keep the heat in?

The winter will be great but worried about superheating the house in the summer.  Planning on using eaves/overhangs/louvers.  What else can I do to minimize heat gain in the summer when planning on using alum storefront windows.

I just read an article in a local MN biz mag about this MN company producing electro tinting windows.
